Coming into the 2009 season Lafayette Patriots are returning 12 of their players from the 2008 season and 5 new players from a new school in the Lafayette campus International High school. The Patriots had a record of 9-2 last season winning the division in developmental competition. The Patriots are currently on a 6 game winning streak 4 of the wins defeating the opponents 10 or more runs. The Patriots are currently in second place with a 9-3 record and feel well confident about entering the playoffs with their top 5 players in the order batting almost . 400 or above.
